Camp Manager
Originally from Germany, Gina moved to the Atlantic coast more than four years ago in her self-built van — and has felt far more at home in the south ever since. Certificated in marketing and communication design with many years experienced in surfcamp business, Gina makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes and that guests feel comfortable from the very first moment.
The Algarve gives her exactly what she’s looking for: nature, movement, creative energy and a relaxed community by the sea.
Robin
Handyman & Bartender
Robin comes from Germany – although with his sun-tanned skin, most people would probably mistake him for a true Portuguese local by now. He arrived at the camp without any surfing experience, but with plenty of craftsmanship and practical know-how. Whether it’s repairs, creative solutions or spontaneous building projects: Robin always finds a way to make things work again.
With his green thumb, guitar skills and relaxed sense of humor, he brings good energy to the camp every single day. In the evenings, you’ll usually find him around the campfire or behind the bar, serving the best music and the coldest beers.
Luca
Head Surf Instructor
Luca , Portuguese German , local from Carrapateira , speaks Portuguese, German, English and Spanish.
Our head coach with a wide knowledge of the ocean as he is fishing all his life.
Surfing, fishing or DJing a multitalented working with us for several years.
Gabriel
Surf Instructor
Gabriel from Brasil, speaks Portuguese and English . is part of the Funride team for a few years and is definitely one of the most recommended instructors according to our Google reviews.
He is a very good surfer and rescue lifeguard. He loves to chase the giant waves in Nazare 🌊

Samu, Linda, Mali, Joaquim & Mazari – Since 2002, Samu has been the local founder and owner of the surf camp. Linda, originally from Germany, works behind the scenes as the camp’s dedicated manager. Together, they bring passion and authenticity to create a warm and unforgettable surf camp experience.
